Oscariana in Dublin 2025
In its third year, Oscariana celebrates the birth of Oscar Wilde at his childhood home and other locations in Dublin.
The fabulous festival of Cinema, Shows, Tours, and Exhibitions takes place from October 16-20, 2025.
Apart from the many events, this is an opportunity to look inside the Wilde house, where you will be taken on a historic journey.
Oscar’s mother’s famous weekly gatherings of musicians, politicians and poets at One Merrion Square were famous across the 20 years or more the Wildes lived at the house. Sample what is was like to be at one of these events with a look inside the house, where you will be taken on a historic journey and see the artists, musicians and poets of today, performing in the rooms where the salons took place.

Not really—the connection with a recording of Oscar Wilde at the Paris exposition is spurious because that’s not him either, although he did visit several times. Wishful thinking. And when the AI generated hologram appears that’s not him either.
